Oppo has announced the release timeline for Color OS 12, hinting at an imminent Android 12 launch.
Oppo was expected to announce specifics of Color OS 12 based on Android 12 today. Instead, the company gave us a general timeline of when to expect the new software. According to Oppo’s official Weibo post, Color OS 12 will release sometime in mid-to-late September. This means that the stable Android 12 release from Google is just around the corner.
Oppo’s digital assistant previously revealed that Color OS 12 would be available on September 13, 2021, at 3:00 PM China time. That would equate to September 12, 2021, at 3:00 AM Eastern time. But with the new announcement, it seems the release could be delayed till the end of the month. We expect to hear more details about the new features of Color OS 12 as well as devices eligible for the update in the coming days.
